Ask the county’s most excellent teachers what sets their classrooms above the rest and their answers are the same — creating a connection with students.
The invitation might have read “leave your party affiliation at the door” at the county’s largest candidate forum in recent history, when more than 500 attended the “Meet the 2010 Candidates” forum at the Douglas County Events Center.
The Douglas County School District and Highlands Ranch Metro District are searching for a new board member after the resignation of a man who serves on both governing bodies.
