Pig roast at local saloon to help a friend in need
Tanner’s Shoe and Leather Repair and Buffalo Boyd’s Restaurant and Saloon both in Parker are hosting a fundraiser for a fellow friend in need.
Denis Harrison, manager for Tanner’s Shoe and Leather Repair in Parker, recently contracted H1N1-related pneumonia and was hospitalized on Oct. 2. She remains in the critical care unit of Parker Adventist Hospital on life support and dialysis. Harrison does not have health insurance and the hospital bills are adding up.
From 2-6 p.m. on Nov. 7 at Buffalo Boyd’s Restaurant and Saloon in Parker located at 12543 North Hwy 83 number 202, the saloon will host a pig roast lunch for $10 a person to benefit Harrison. Tanner’s Shoe and Leather Repair will be shining shoes for donations as well as a live auction with all proceeds going to Harrison.
An account has also been set up at Chase Bank and donations can be made there on Harrison’s behalf.
For more information about Harrison, the benefit on Nov 7, or how to make a donation, please contact Debbi Lardinois at 303-898-5497, or by e-mail at aidlan@hotmail.com.
